By purchasing an admission ticket or visiting the special exhibition areas of the Kaprun Museum, visitors agree to these visitor regulations and undertake to comply with them./li>
The purchase of an admission ticket also includes the inspection of a card authorising access (e.g. Salzburger Land Card, Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card) by the museum staff.
The current opening hours apply, which can be viewed on the website of the Kaprun Museum as well as notices on the museum building and on areas provided to the museum for information purposes.
For justified reasons (e.g. events, public holidays, school holidays, etc.) there may be deviations from the opening hours or special arrangements.
Admission takes place up to 10 minutes before closing time.
Bulky or large items of luggage, wet umbrellas, unclean walking sticks, bulky sports equipment of any kind, as well as sharp-edged items worn openly, etc. must be deposited in the entrance area of the museum..
Cloakroom hooks are provided for wet rainwear or winter clothing, which visitors must use for the duration of their visit.
Ski boots must be removed before visiting the museum and may not be worn in the exhibition rooms.
Eating and drinking is prohibited in the exhibition rooms.
Smoking, the use of e-cigarettes or similar products is prohibited throughout the museum.
Photography of exhibits for private purposes is permitted unless labelled otherwise.
Photographs for commercial purposes require the consent of the museum management.
Out of consideration for other museum visitors, making phone calls and the unsolicited recording of image, sound or video material of other people is prohibited.
Legal guardians, teachers, group leaders, etc. are responsible for the appropriate behaviour of their entrusted companions.
Touching, damaging or otherwise interfering with exhibition objects is not permitted. Exceptions to the ban on touching and interacting are – the puzzle in the archaeological exhibition, – the table on the topic ‘Tourism in Kaprun – a brochure “anno 1900″‘, – – the turnstile between the two tourist exhibitions, – the chairlift in the Kitzsteinhorn AG room and – Multimedia touch displays in the exhibitions
Visitors, their legal guardians or supervising adults are liable for any damage caused.
At museum events (e.g. readings, exhibition openings, award ceremonies, etc.), visitors agree that photographs and video recordings in which persons are recognisable may be taken without the need for an expressed declaration from the visitors concerned.
These recordings may be used for the company’s own purposes without remuneration.
The museum management decides on the access modalities for each event organised and provides information about these in a timely and transparent manner.
Instructions given by museum staff must be followed.
Visitors who do not follow the instructions of the staff or otherwise violate the house rules may be banned from further visits to the museum without receiving a refund of the admission fee.
Items found in the museum are kept for one week at the cash desk and then handed over to the lost property office.
Exceptions to this are items that can be traced back to their owner and can therefore be identified, or which are rotting, decaying or can no longer be used in any other way. In this case, the museum staff are authorised to decide on their further storage.
The museum management is responsible for enforcing the visitor regulations and reserves the right to review them on an ongoing basis and to make amendments or changes with immediate effect.
